The NEXUS project proudly participated as a major sponsor of the 7th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics (PSCO), held from September 16-18, 2024, in Perugia, Italy. This prestigious event brought together leading researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss the latest advancements in perovskite solar cell technology and optoelectronics.
As part of its sponsorship, the NEXUS project ensured high visibility throughout the conference, with its logo prominently displayed during the event. Additionally, the project made significant contributions to the scientific discussions with two key engagements.
On Wednesday, September 18th, from 10:40 to 10:50, Prof. Paul Fassl from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), a key partner of the NEXUS project, delivered a project presentation. His talk highlighted the latest research and innovations driven by the NEXUS initiative in the field of perovskite solar cells.
Furthermore, the NEXUS project played a pivotal role in addressing one of the most pressing concerns in perovskite photovoltaics: the management of lead use. A special session titled “Management of Lead Use in Perovskite Photovoltaics” was organized on Tuesday, September 17th, from 13:35 to 14:30. This session was moderated by Markus Lenz from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), another esteemed NEXUS project partner. The discussion provided valuable insights into sustainable approaches for handling lead in perovskite technologies, aiming to balance efficiency with environmental responsibility.
The NEXUS project’s sponsorship and active participation at PSCO 2024 underscored its commitment to advancing perovskite solar cell research while promoting sustainable and responsible technological development. The event served as an excellent platform for fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within the scientific and industrial community.
